when did your pregnancy seem "real"..

...i know im still early (7.5 weeks)....but when does it start to feel "real"....I guess part of me is still terrified something could go wrong.......part of me won't really let myself get too excited even though everything at the first appt looks fine.....does it get easier? anyone else feel/felt this way??

Not until we were trying to squeeze the crib into the back seat of DH's car.

for me, it felt real when the kicks started and when we found out the sex.

It still doesn't seem real for the most part, even at almost 22 weeks.

For me, it's likely because of the miscarriage I had. I know if somethng can happen early, it can happen anytime. It did seem more real when I felt the baby move.

I am being cautiously optimistic though.

I think most women go through this stage in the first tri mester. For me it started to feel real when I got the first kick around 20 weeks. I still worry now at 30 weeks so I dont think the anxiety ever truely goes away until they are out and we can hold them.

It comes and goes for me, even at 20 weeks. When we had a sonogram at 11 weeks and saw a baby in there (not a blob), it seemed very real. It also seemed real when I started to look visibly pregnant and not just chunky or bloated. Then yesterday when we heard the sex, it seemed very real again.

But in between all these events, there are still times when it's hard to imagine that there is actually a baby growing in there.

for me the first one felt real or at least set me into reality around 13 weeks, then after confirming her sex was a whole other story

After I delivered the baby. Even now, I am still shocked I am a mom. And I am doing it all over again!

i think that it felt real after a combination of things that all started the same week really - my level 2 - finding out she was a girl and looking like a real baby in there - finding out that everything looked good, then i really started feeling her kicking and the same week i popped....

so i would say at 21 weeks - with a combination of those things - it felt real!

to me it only seemed real at 20 week sound when we found out it was a .

Something changes when you know the sex.. you have a daughter in there.. not just an it..

It really comes and goes. I am 28 weeks, but there are times I am just flittering about life. Times when I really realize it are when a huge box like a carseat show up at my house, or today I had a sono, and the doc told me to come every two weeks from now on. I just kind of had a little melt down, but a happy one. It's a strange strange feeling, because being a mother really is the unknown for me.

I was really scared at the start. It didn't feel real to me until I went for my Level II and since I've been feeling the baby at 23 weeks.

Today my husband painted our nursery room and I was just really excited and I'm picturing everything else. So things like that make it seem more real to me.
