meds and BDing

I am feeling so crappy from my meds that I don't ever feel like BDing.. whats the point of that?
I am trying to stick it out with the meformin, but I am starting to think its not worth it... maybe I should just ask my doctor for clomid?

Give it time. Follow the recomended diet and things should settle down. I truely believe that Met is worth it. I am sorry you are feeling sick Chat Icon. Some women's bodies just can't adjust to the Met but from what I have seen most do. Good luck Chat Icon

I've noticed since I've been on metformin, I'm very tired! Does that happen to anyone else on it?

ITA!

Although for me, the Met has not been working as well as the Dr. had hoped and after 3 months on it, she is having me start Clomid with this cycle as well as staying on the Met. Hopefully, this is what I need to get me to ovulate.

Like the above poster said, do try to stick it out. I was soooooooo sick from the Met that would cry at the thought of taking another pill, but that's gone away. The only time I feel sick is when I eat something I really shouldn't be eating.

YES!! I am ALWAYS tired!! (on top of the other things).

Thanks for the words of encouragement, ladies. The last two days have been ok.
I never got any kind of diet plan from my doctor, I have just been following the words of advice from here - trying to do few carbs and low fat, but I never was that bad with those things to begin with. I am not overweight, do you think thats why my dr. didn't tell me to watch what I eat?

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels extra tired! I thought it was just me! Thanks again for the response hopin4baby!

I never got a diet plan from my dr. either. Just certain foods don't mix well with the Met (carbs, sugar, etc....)

Re: meds and BDing

My doctor didn't give me a meal plan either. I was on fertility friend and read the Metformin manifesto and that's when I learned all the rules. I will see if I can find it to post on here for you. As pp stated, changing your diet is not about losing weight is is about how your body reacts. If I eat real pasta I had a rather upset tummy. I switched to Dreamfields and had no problems. Little changes can make a big difference.
