39 wk appt. BioPhysical?
I'm scheduled for one next week (40 weeks) to see how the baby is doing.... just wondering what is involved?
My 39 wk appt. was status quo... still dilated at 1.5 and 80% effaced... grr...

I had several BPP - it is an ultrasound - they check the baby's heartrate, fetal movement, check for practice breathing, and they check your fluid level. It is non invasive and fun to get to see your little one - I had a BPP every week my last month or so.

A biophysical is nothing more than a sonogram. Just bring some water in case you are thirsty.
