Question-Scary back pain

Member since 9/05 4947 total posts Name:	Question-Scary back pain My lower back is killing me...it hurts to lay down on it and it hurts to bend down...it hurts to touch it on both sides of the spine. I have had many sports injuries from my running but this pain takes the cake...and I havent run for 3 weeks due to my vacation! What the heck could this be...what should I do about it? It hurt to run this morning...but doesnt hurt to walk at all.

Member since 11/06 6305 total posts Name: Krista	Re: Question-Scary back pain the pain is all of a sudden? maybe you slept on it wrong or pulled a muscle somehow? i have backpain but mine is chronic; i went to my primary care doctor and then a neurologist. i've since been told to see a neurosurgeon but haven't gone. i would maybe try those thermacare patches and see if they help; you may have just pulled a muscle, but if it doesn't get better i'd see a doctor or go to the er. you may need a cat scan or mri to see what's going on. backs are tricky. feel better!

Ice it to numb it/ get any possible swelling down & heat it to relax the muscle. Feel better!!
