Am I just being cranky...

My MIL signed up for a babycenter account as if she was pg to get the weekly "Your X weeks pregnant!" emails; she calls or emails me everyday to either ask 35 questions about my next appt and exactly what they will be doing at that appt, or to tell me she just ate the baby (b/c she ate a FIG and that is the size of the baby this week! )). At dinner one night, she told me "her grandbaby shouldnt be eating penne ala vodka", when she saw I had pasta. It wasn't even the penne alla vodka that I ordered!!!!!!! She also instructed me to "Think Positively" about nursing the DAY we told her we were pg.

I am getting so annoyed...I think maybe it's my hormones?

well, maybe it's partly due to the hormones but i can totally relate. my MIL somehow knows what questions will stress me out, and she will harp on the topic (e.g. daycare) no matter how much i try to change the subject.

on the other hand, it's sort of nice that your MIL is so excited and is trying to be involved in your pregnancy - even though it's in a somewhat annoying way

Very annoying. But don't tell her because she is obviously very excited & wants to be a part of your pg.

My mom started emailing me so much that I had to close my outlook (emails were popping up every 5 seconds!). Now I just try to ignore them or just read them at the end of the day.

Some people mean well but are just really, really annoying.

I think you guys are right. I feel guilty b/c know she's excited (1st grandkid), but it's just so.....annoying!!

If my MIL was doing that it would drive me absolutely positively nuts!!! Yes, I understand the whole first grandchild excitment thing . . . but there is a limit at which this borders on crazy.
