1st sono...
i am going for my first sono today!!!  Im so excited but nervous what should i expect? Are they gonna do anything internal again? Also i was told to bring a urine sample everytime i come do i need to fill up the jar?

I have never had to bring a urine sample from home, but i am sure they only need alittle bit

How far along are you? The first sono is usually internal.
As for bringing the urine sample from home - that seems really strange! I would call then and ask them how they want you to get it there....

Did they give you a cup?
My doc gave me a cup at my last appt and told me that everytime I come for an appt, i need to bring my first morning urine with me!

good luck!
First sono is great.. cause you get to see the heartbeat. Its an amazing feeling to watch a bean on a screen with a heartbeat.
As for urine, I never had to do that. I usually pee in the office

I also pee in a cup as soon as I get to the office. How far along are you? If you are earlier than 16 weeks or so, your sono will probably be an internal one. Good luck!

my first sono at 6 weeks was internal but the ones at 10 weeks and 12 weeks were external. How far along are you?

Never heard the pee at home thing..I do it when I am there in a little dixie cup.

my first sono was at 8 weeks and it was internal. if this is how far along you are, you can expect to see a yolk sac and a little nugget with a heartbeat
i always pee when i get to the office, but if you have the cup with you, you just need to fill it up a little.
