Did you register for clothes if you didn't know the sex?

And if so, what items did you register for? I am thinking about onesies and bibs, but what else?

Yes - plain white onesies and some yellow and green items.

I registered for generic onesies, sleepers, and gowns, but I also registered for 2 newborn boy outfits and 2 newborn girl outfits, thinking that I would use one of them as the going home outfit. However my shower was last Saturday and I didn't get any of the gender specific outifts. I guess people didn't want to get a gift that I might have to return.

I don't know what I'm having and I got very few clothes at my shower. What I did get was mostly white onsies and a couple of yellow/green sleepgowns. I registered for a couple of outfits.

same here...except i didn't register for any. i did register for bibs. even if i had known, I don't think I would've registered for clothes. a-you don't know how big/small the baby will be and b-people might buy you the outfit you wanted, but mistakenly get the wrong size and by the time you get it, they stop selling the exact items (and that can make an outfit/item unwearable for certain seasons...after my son was born, someone sent a gift of clothes...a pair of shorts for a 6 month old. he'll be 6 months in November)

I didn't register for any clothes (though I knew that I was having a girl). I had onesies, sleepers and other clothes coming out of my ears and people seemed to like choosing things they liked, which was fine.

Actually, though, it might be a good idea to register for those little t-shirts- the ones that snap on the sides and maybe the bodysuits that snap. I think Gerber makes them. Between the umbilical cord stump and my anxiety about pulling things over her head the first fews days, they were great. (If I ever buy clothes for new moms, I will never buy anything that has to go over the head, but maybe I'm just a nut.)
