You might as long as baby is in a good position. We missed the money shot on my last sono at 20 weeks.

They might not be doing a sono. I had my last one at 12 weeks, went this week (I am 18 weeks) and didn't have one, but we listened to the heartbeat.
I assume my next sono will be my level 2 at 20 weeks. You can find out the sex then, if the baby cooperates.

I didn't have a sono at my appt around week 17. If you are having a sono, drink some juice or eat some chocolate right before going, so you have a better shot of the baby moving and showing the parts you need to see.

If they do a sono but I know my sono's are 8, 12 and then not again until 20 (level II).

they should be able to tell if the baby cooperates. My Dr. was pretty sure mine was a boy at 14 weeks!!!
