Re: For those of you who have been to Paris...
Notre Dame Sacre Coeur - beautiful cathedral, a must see- also a nice area to walk around and get lunch Arc de Triomphe Eiffel Tower - during the day and at night Cafes (Creme Brule!) Louvre Orsay Museum (I think its called Musee de Orsay) Walk along the River Seine - you can buy prints of Paris along this walk to frame when you get home Eat lots of breads and pastries! Disneyland Paris
You can walk from the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe down the Champs Elysees - its a pretty good walk, but you walk through a park and past all the stores. At the end of it is the Arc de Triomphe. I think you can also go from Notre Dame to some of the museums if you walk along the Seine. I can't remember if that walk brings you to the Louvre, but for some reason I think it might. Hope that helps. Have fun!

Re: For those of you who have been to Paris...
Definitely the Eiffel Tower, The Louve, Versailles (if you are willing to take a day trip) Arc de Triomphe. Jim Morrison's grave, if your a Doors Fan. Napoleons Tomb, Luxemborg Gardens and Rue Cler, if you like to eat. I have been to Paris 3x and love it. I can't wait to go back again. I always stay in the 7th which is in walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and is close to the Metro Stations. Definitely, eat lots of good food. I have a ton of restaurants I can recommend. Enjoy!!!

Re: For those of you who have been to Paris...
One of my favorite things is to watch the kids push wooden boats across a large fountain at the Luxembourg Gardens. You can also get coffee there and just hang out.
There's also a creepy, sad, but interesting underground catacomb with thousands of bones. I think it is in the 14th arrondisement.
We had a fantastic meal at Laurent, near the Arc de Triomphe. Probably the best dinner I ever had.
I am so jealous! I want to go back soon! Have a great time!

Re: For those of you who have been to Paris...
I have been to Paris many times. My aunt lives there, so I spent many summer there.
MUSEUMS: My favorite museum bar none is Musee Rodin. It is the museum and home of Auguste Rodin- the sculptor of the Thinker. Le Bisou (the Kiss) is one of the greatest scupltures i Have ever seen- sans the Pieta. There is also a beautiful garden outside the museum- in the front and in the back. It is just breathtaking. The next greatest museum is the Musee D'Orsay. It is modern art- impressionists. Beautiful. It was an old train station. It is very big. Of course you must see the Louvre. However, the best part of the Louvre is not the art in it, but the museum itself. At one point- sit on the bench in the middle and look up- the ceilings are amazing and the designs around the ceiling are stunning.
CHURCHES: Of course Notre Dame- but you should also go to Saint Cocure (Sp??!) on top of Monmartre. It is the most amazing church I have ever seen. I was so inspired- I almost went to confession- and I'm Jewish!!
AREAS: Monmartre is amazing. Its the old artist's quarter. It is my favorite part of paris. You should also do the walk from the Louvre through Le Jardin De Touleris up to Champs Elysee up to the Arc De Triumph. It is one straight line. The Latin Quarter is also very nice.
EATING: I never go to teh same restaurant twice, so I have no recommendations- but you must sit in a cafe, drink something and people watch. IT is stunning. The only place I can definitely recommend for the best Falafal outside Israel is Las De Falafel in the Latin/Jewish quarter.
My biggest recommendation is to just walk around. Find the local markets. The more you walk to more you feel the city- it is an amazing place!!
ETA: Oh, how can I forget Versaille?? IT is about 10 minutes outside Paris but the train goes there. It is lovely. The palace- such opulence. Its amazing. And then the gardens outside- certainly fit for royalty!!
