Tools you can't live without
I need some help. DH's b-day is this week and both sets of parents want to buy him tool related gifts. He's got a basic tool kit but, he really doesn't have a lot of "power" tools.
Other than a battery operated drill, is there anything that you could suggest? I am sure on Friday, I'll think of a million things but, I'm drawing a blank.
I asked DH and he said "I don't know"...
TIA!

It depends on what he plans to do.
My DH's must haves (but he's a real DIYer):
air compressor socket set soldering kit Shop vac safety equipment levels clamps stud finder

Thanks! He is a real DIYer too. We have a shop vac and levels but, the rest are great ideas!

Re: Tools you can't live without
Places like Lowes and Home Depot have a kit with a lot of the power tools listed. That is what I bought my DH.

Re: Tools you can't live without
It really depends on what he can and cannot do!If he is handy, Bosch has a great cordless kit with a Circular saw sawzall and hammer drill; My DH uses it for everything from cutting shrubs to installing new tile in the kitchen. If he works on the car buy him sockets and wrenches. If you really have no Idea, buy him a gift Certificate from Lowes with a note that says for tools not home repair items. Good Luck

DH just got a cordless electric lawn mower and could not be happier. It makes lawnmowing SO much easier and faster.

Re: Tools you can't live without
Thanks everyone!
My parents are getting him a Sawzall, my dad had been thinking of it as well!
I told his parents to get him a cordless drill so we'll see what they get him!
