Anyone have an iPod shuffle?
Mine seems to be kaput! I put it in a USB port and the computers - both my work one and my home one - don't even recognize it.
What's wrong???

I do! But I have never had that happen! I will say the first one I bought did not work AT ALL...and they mailed me a replacement and said that many of them have issues.

Re: Anyone have an iPod shuffle?
I would bring it back to the Apple store. Hopefully you bought it less than a year ago or bought Apple Care. If so, they will replace it if they can't fix it. good luck.

I think you might have to "authorize" it, I had a similar problem and posted on here in April and someone very kindly told me what to do, only thing is now I can't remember! Sorry

the computer doesn't even recognize that there's something in the USB port - has nothing to do with the folders. And it's not the computer - because I've tried it in two and neither one does.
I've had it and have been using it for about two years, so I don't think it's just faulty equipment. Sadly, I just think it's done.

Yeah, I think I might - I did read that on a website, but not sure how much it will help if the computer doesn't even know it's there, you know?
I'll give it a try tonight. Thanks.

Re: Anyone have an iPod shuffle?
I don't have a shuffle. I have a mini. And there was one point where my computer didn't see the ipod. I just uninstalled Itunes - and did a hard reset on the ipod itself. Seemed to kick it right back into gear.
