Granite Countertops - w/POLL
How much did you spend per square foot on your granite countertops? We looked over the weekend and it varied from store to store.
Know of any cheaper places in Nassau or Suffolk?
TIA!

I checked with 3 places. I don't have the names with me. The first place was in Farmingdale on 110 by Lowes (I think), the second on Route 109 in Farmingdale next door to Wendy's and the last place we went to was GT Marble in Islandia. They were all pretty much the same price, within $100-200. They all said they would price match, too.

I paid $60PSF for Blue Pearl, which was $95PSF in Home Depot and Lowes, and $100PSF at Cancos.
I highly Granite Emporium in Farmingdale or Napoli Granite in Seaford.

that seems really high. We priced some and they were in the $50-$75 range, but we were shopping around in Queens - Flushing though. Cabinets & countertops seem so much cheaper there. It's crazy!

Sorry, I meant they were all pretty much the same price per square foot. But, the total price (for my entire kitchen) was within $100-200.
ETA: Including the edging that I wanted.

Re: Granite Countertops - w/POLL
We just redid our kitchen, we looked at Granite but found that it needed to be maintained yearly....sealed and so forth. We decided to purchase a new stone quartz product called Silestone. We purchased through Homedepot and with installation the color we chose was only about 50 per sqf. All depends on color.
I think an updated countertop is essental, but you def dont have to break the bank!
