Out of breath
I'm 14 weeks. I find that I get really out of breath climbing stairs. Did anyone else feel like that this early?

Re: Out of breath
This happens to me a lot...although now I am 36 weeks but I noticed it starting a little earlier on too...I think it is the extra weight that we are carrying around.

Re: Out of breath
Yes, I started feeling out of breath around that time, or maybe a little earlier. I still do now, at 19 weeks.
It happens because you need more oxygen for all the extra blood your body is producing, at least that's what I've read. Later, it might have more to do with the baby's weight.

Yes I was the same way. The dr. told me because everything inside is growing and pushing upwards...closer to the lungs. Is is normal and the heat doesnt help either.

Re: Out of breath
Thanks. I have to climb 3 set of stairs to exit Penn in the morning. Lately it's been wiping me out.
The exit is alongside a diner where the windows look down on the stairwell. I must look so pathetic to the diners as they watch me panting as I climb those last few stairs.

Re: Out of breath
I did! And I thought I was weird and out of shape, meanwhile it is perfectly normal. I assume that it was my uterus expanding and pressing against my insides which is what caused me to get out of breath very easily...then as my belly popped and I started to grow outwards it all slowly went away.
Feel better
