? for those in the 3rd trimester (or those that were already)
I am 33 weeks, measuring 36 with a baby elephant. For the past few weeks the baby has been dropping. I feel body parts way below my belly button, near my hairline. But that area is so painful now. It is so tender that I swear it's bruised. It kills if my underwear or pants touch it.
On top of that, I have been cramping in my entire belly over the past few days. I looked at my belly in the mirror and it looks bruised, surrounding my belly button. This area is not sore, like the area below it. But I am concerned about the color. DH thinks it might be a ton of veins coming to the surface as my little elephant is stretching me thin.
Has anybody had either happen? TIA!

My appt was supposed to be last week, but I had no way of getting there with my damn car in the shop. Thankfully they squeezed me in for this Wednesday. I am not overly concerned, but wondering if I should call them tomorrow to see if they have an appt before Wednesday.

I would call just in case....I am a nervous one though!! My thought is better safe than sorry...at least even if you can't get in before Wed....they might be able to tell you what is going on.....

I ahd the bruising and tenderness with my second. DH was worried and googled it. it's your ab muscles separating...nothing to worry about I wasn't worried and figured that's what it was...but didn't have the bruising or tenderness the first PG. i did have the splitting though.
the good news is: it goes away immediately after you deliver!

When I went for my growth sonogram at 30 weeks..measuring 33..like you I appear to be carrying large baby..I made a comment about the area around my belly button. The doctor said that that was common sore area due to all the stretching.
