Need Help with Keyspan Readings
So we just called Keyspan to set up gas service for our new home. They told us that they need to do any actual reading every other month, and since it is inside the basement, they need someone to be home during that day to let them in. Is this true? How can we be expected to stay home from work one day every other month for them to come? Is there something I am missing? Need some input on how this works.

we dont even bother with readings ourselves....because there is no way for us to be home when they come and read the meter.
We just let them estimate one month, actual reading the next. IMO so much easier for us

our meter is on the outside of the house, so we dont need to be home to read it -you only need to be home if your meter is on the inside of your house.
