People have live live in a house with no communication to the outside for several weeks and once a week or so one person is voted off or something like that but they can compete to be safe. the last two win money.

It changes a little bit each season with new twists. But basically there are a bunch of people in the house who have no communication with the outside world. Each week there is one "head of household" (HOH) who gets special priviledges and gets to nominate two people for eviction at the end of the week. Then the group votes on who is evicted.
There are other competitions throughout in which the house guests can earn food or other incentives.
The twists make it interesting. Like this season people are in the house with their enemies.
In the end they can win a lot of money whoever is the last one standing.
