does anyone live..

does anyone live in a condo/ coop with your child..or plan on living one when your child is born? We might have to do this houses are to expensive any opinions about starting in a coop or condo? im leanin toward coops cause they are sooo much cheaper it would only be for about 2 years

I think co-ops can be a a good way to build equity and while the prices may be coming down a bit, they are still high. I don't think you would be able to build too much equity in 2 years.

Condos are generally priced about the same or almost the same as houses.

I don't have children but if you are asking if it's a good place to raise them, I don't see why not.

A lot of couples in my co-op development have children. Our development is very family-friendly with the playground and swimming pool and summer activities. There's nothing wrong with having children in an apartment setting!

We live in a 3-bedroom townhouse. We like it (for now) because it's so easy. There are ups and downs to it, but in the end, it's a mortage and not rent!

I live in a townhouse and will def be here with kids! There are a ton of kids in the neighborhood and we have a swimming pool and playground!

I would urge you to buy a condo and not a coop if possible. You will most likely make more money on a condo when you sell it. Coops usually sit on the market longer from what I can tell in the time I lived in one and since I've been searching for something to buy.
