so i just realized...re: baby shifting weight
I was thinking I was feeling the baby push up against one side, or like being in a ball and leaning outward causing a hard lump on my belly...but I think they could just be braxton hicks...what do you think? I'm 28 weeks.

Hard to tell. Some of the 'shifting" for me is actually contractions and they didnt know this until I happened to be on the monitor. As long as they are not consistent as in my case its probably some Braxton Hicks. We are going to be having babies soon YAY

could be (BH). you can tell the difference between the BH and the baby rubbing up against one side by how tight the rest of your belly feels. next time it happens, see how "tight" the skin/belly is in other places. when my son would rub up against one side, the other side got soft and could easily be pushed in (no resistance). during BHs, my whole belly tensed up.

I know that when my little one goes to one side, I am lopsided and the other side is mushier. HTH

In most cases that is BH...I think some of what the baby does in there can cause BH.
Here is my reasoning:
If I am lying on my right side and flip very quick to my left I will get a BH. It happens every time...

Re: so i just realized...re: baby shifting weight
I've been getting those pretty often lately but they go away quickly...it feels like he is just changing positions in there...the new thing that I've been experiencing lately is cramping on either my lower right or lower left sides...they feel like a cramp you would get from walking too fast or running...they go away quickly but they hurt like a mofo when they come on...
