Hospital Bag
I am going to start to get things organized for my bag....did you girls pack a separate bag for the baby stuff or just put it in the bag with your clothes...I am planning on bringing just the outfit I am bringing the baby home in for the baby...nothing really else...do I need more for the baby??? What did you pack for yourselves???? I am thinking yoga pants, and tshirts(I am not BFing so I dont need access to the girls) and flip flops for walking around...

Re: Hospital Bag
I put everything in 1 bag-Baby, mine and DH's.
For Baby Coming home outfit
For DH Toiletries Full change of clothes pj's Snacks
For me Coming home outfit Bras My own Pads Toiletries Makeup Hard Candy Rubber bands for my hair Picture Frame with DD Flip Flops Chap stick Breast pads
I so overpacked with DD, so as a BTDT, my list is prob much shorter than a 1st time mommy. I only want to take the essentials, it's not like the hospital is in the middle of nowhere, if I need something I can send someone out to get it.

Re: Hospital Bag
Just make sure you prepare for a possible stay in the hospital. I packed at least 3 pajama outfits and then one "normal" (yoga pants and a tank) to come home in. LOTS of underwear. Maxi pads (even though they provide them for you... i picked my out my own). Be prepared for you to be cold, then sweating the next minute, so make sure you have something other than just tank tops or t-shirts to keep you warm. I couldn't get comfy with the temp to save my life.
As for baby, I just packed in my bag a receiving blanket, the onesie outfit and socks to come home.
Plus, your normal toiletries if you want. SH pretty much provided me with stuff I needed that I had forgotten.
PS - as for the underwear, get yourself some granny panties. Because of possible c-section (which I pray you don't have to go through!) all my undies hit the incision site... so prepare and embrace the Ganny Panty

Re: Hospital Bag
I have a question, other than a coming home outfit for myself what other clothes should I bring for me? Do you normally just wear a hospital gown or do you actually get dressed each day and wear your own PJ's at night? Maybe a silly questions but just want to be prepared.
Thanks!

Personally, I stayed in the hospital gown with DD and will do it again this time too. They check you alot the 1st day and you bleed heavily for the time you are there. It was easier and more comfy to wear the gown. FOr me at least.
I didn't want to get my stuff ruined or bring hospital home with me.

Re: Hospital Bag
I wore a hospital gown until they allowed me to "sponge" myself off, then I was able to change into my own clothes. I was MUCH more comfy in my own pajamas. I packed, like I said, 3 pj sets, thankgod, because I stayed in the hospital for 4 days I pretty much wore my pj's the whole time. Until coming home I wore semi normal clothes.

Re: Hospital Bag
I really try not to overpack for things so I am keeping my bag pretty basic. I will have plenty of underwear (grannie style since I will be a c/s), 2 nursing bras, fuzzy socks, light robe, 2 nightshirts , toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, shampoo/conditioner travel bottle, $$$ and camera. Anything else DH or visitors can bring. I will have a small bag I received at my shower with homecoming outfit in it already packed for DH to bring when we get the okay to come home.
