Need some advice
Dh and I were talking the other day about our situation. We're not sure if we should go to a RE doctor since we haven't been trying for a year. I think we should go, since we know DH has problems with his morphology, history of testicular cancer and other things. I guess I am wondering if we should try for a few month ourselves and then see a doctor or just head straight for the RE. Any advice? I greatly appreciate it.

Re: Need some advice
did your husband go to a urologist who specializes in male infertility? that is where my dh is going and then after we have answers from her we will see the RE because most likely insemination is what we will need to help dh with his morphology.

Re: Need some advice
Personally, with the issues you guys have had I would definitely go see an RE. They can always just tell you that you should try to conceive naturally for a few months if that's the course they feel you should take.
An RE can give you IUIs which wash your husband's sperm and keep only the good guys.
Good luck to you guys!

Re: Need some advice
Hollie, want my honest opinion?? don't waste your time....
I am glad we didn't wait and went for testing only after 2 months of trying....I would have been wasting precious time....now that we know what the problem is we know how to "fix" it....
I would suggest you go and meet with the RE...it doesn't hurt to find out what he says....he might give you options....IUI is an easy procedure and gives you way better chances of getting pregnant....If your DH has morphology problems you will most likely need "help" in getting pregnant....
Just my two cents...Good luck and to you...(miracles do happen so don't give up)...

Re: Need some advice
Thanks ladies. I know DH feels bad and is carrying the "blame" on himself. I suggested we go to a RE for more advice and help if needed. I think he's coming around to the idea of going to see one.
DH sees a urologic oncologist for his check ups to ensure the cancer is still in remission and he also saw a dcotor who removed his varicocele. This doctor is the director of the Sexual Health and Male Infertility and Microsurgery Programs at the hospital.

Re: Need some advice
I would go and have a Sperm anyalisis done , cant hurt...and you wont feel liek yoru wasting time. Cause if its off, then you know you need help and dont have to wait a year....But if its ok, then you know your good to go so to speak with trying naturally a while longer.

Re: Need some advice
If you know there is some kind of problem already - go straight to the RE. The longer you put off going to an RE, the longer it takes to get answers and to resolve the problems.
