I second the Tums!
And try not to eat too much...I found when I ate too much, the heartburn was worse.

I have to go straight to Pepcid Maximum Strength tablets. OB and GI doc said it was fine. (I had reflux before I was pg)

OMG!!! I know how you feel!! I was up most of last night with really really bad heartburn that had me in tears at some points!!  Tums did absolutely nothing!

I'm telling you, nothing really helped me until I got a script for Zantac from my doc. It's heaven sent! I was taking Gaviscon up until then which was OK, but now I have barely even a trace, and that's when I forget to take my med.
