Any NC'ers who live on the coast?

Hi,

Just wondering if any of you LIF'ers who live in NC live on the coast. Thinking of relocating from LI but would love to live near the coast.

Any feedback on any areas even if you dont live there appreciated.

We're in SC right now, I'm driving up to Charlotte tomorrow, my parents are driving to Wilmington and the Coastal areas....

I'll be able to relay their feedback after tomorrow

I'm not down there, but I have a very close friend who moved there two years ago.
She has a house in Concord near Charlotte and they are looking into buying a summer home in Wilmington, about 15 minutes from the ocean.
She said that she expects to get a lot less house for the money (their current house is new and huge), but since it'll be a vacation home she's not concerned. Also, there's isn't any available land near the coast anymore so it makes the homes more valuable.
