When Flying did any of you ...
mention that you are going on a Honeymoon or 1st anniversary trip and got upgraded to a First class??
We are living on a Trip in a few days and i wondering if it is worth a try..

We didn't say that we were on our HM but we did ask if we could upgrade to First Class and pay for it. But apparently our tickets were "un-upgradeable" - if thats a word

We did. They couldn't upgrade us but they did manage to sit us together. Long story but we missed our original flight (airlines fault) and then we had to take another and were seated apart.

Yes... it didn't work (I even wore my bride hoodie... didn't help one bit)

I got bumped to first class because I was PG.
I'm a former travel agent, my boss would give people hints that may help you get bumped. Be very friendly to the ticket agent, dress business casual (no shorts flip flops etc), casually ask if 1st class is full or if there is a chance for an upgrade

ditto! i wore my short veil to the airport thinking perhaps it would get us an upgrade. no such luck!
but - every hotel we stayed in on our HM gave us champagne upon arrival.

We casually mentioned it to the counter person and she gave us a bulkhead seat which had much more leg room than the regular seats. it was great! My thought is - it cant hurt to just mention it. You probably wont get anything for it but you might as well try!
