I think my doc slipped up
Yesterday we had our 3D sono and when my doc was looking at the pictures she referred to the baby as "her".
We haven't found out the sex and have insisted that we don't want to know (but deep down I'm dying to find out!) Everyone else has told me (from how I'm carrying and old wives tales) that they think I'm having a girl. DH says she couldn't have figured out the sex from the sono pics 'cause they were mostly of the face, but there was one of the feet (and a whole mess of other stuff we couldn't recognize) and what the doc said was, "oh, there's her little feet!"
Hmmmmm. . . .

Hmmm....makes the suspense even greater.
No way to tell if the doctor just said it by accident or really meant it....so he really didnt give anything away...

Yeah, many people choose to say her or him without knowing, instead of saying IT..so just assume that's the case...you still don't know....oooo the suspense!

Re: I think my doc slipped up
Lots of people refer to a general baby as "her" or "she." In books, doctors, etc. My doc kepts saying SHE and I knew I was having a boy. Then he corrected himself a few times because he saw that I knew the sex.

Re: I think my doc slipped up
the doctor said HER????????????????
Well, when you told me you were pregnant - I immediately said it's a girl - with a certainty that I never had during my pregnancy.
Seriously - even without the doctor's POSSIBLE slipup - you're having a girl - everyone agrees with me - even my mom said you're having a girl - and she hasnt seen you - she just has 'a feeling.'
oh - my mom heard another old wives tale - when the parents can only agree on one name - that's the sex of the child. Worked for Neil and I (god help us if we had a boy)

Re: I think my doc slipped up
I think docs say whatever comes to mind. Mine knows its a girl but i had a million sonos so he better know. I say you shouldnt take stock, sometimes its easier for them to refer to baby as a specific sex instead of it.
