Went to the beach today...
....in my maternity bikini....
Not really sure how I feel about the couple of comments I received...(although all were under breath and only partially heard).....
I think I feel sad for these women who are ashamed of their pregnant bellies...or have been led to believe that they are less than beautiful....
Women can be so catty...even to a pregnant lady just trying to enjoy a very hot day at the beach with her children!!!!!!!!!!!
No Grrrrrrrr...no vent...pity maybe??? Not for me but for others...I'll have to sit on this one for awhile and figure it all out.

First..KUDOS to you for braving the heat!!!!! I"m glad you went!! Don't let anyone and their stupidity stop you!! I go and I feel no shame at all!!! We are entitled to be on the beach just like everyone else.

i went to the beach on Sunday but wish i was there today - its SOOO hot in the city

Friend of pregnant womens says something to said pregnant women that I didnt hear...Pregnant women goes "I just dont think that pregnant women should be walking around in bikinis"
to girls on blanket..mumble muble mumble.."why would you want to show off your belly.." mumble mumble mumble.
"well I was very tan when pregnant with DS..just not my belly!!!" wink wink nudge nudge..point at bikini wearing pregnant lady.
mumble mumble " I didnt know they sold maternity bikinis..." LOLOLOLOLOL

My mom saw some maternity bikinis on TV and she keeps asking if I would wear one. If I were a bit thinner overall or more confident, then yes I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could feel comfortable enough to wear it just the way I am!!!! My mom keeps passing comments, though. I egg her on by describing a bathing suit that is hardly there and saying that I just bought it and it was $400. She kept asking if I can just wear shorts and T-shirt so I don't have to spend on a bathing suit. Most summers I buy about 5 suits. Now I only want one, maybe 2, for maternity anyway!!!!!!!

ETA- believe me, if I thought I would look 1/2 way decent in a belly bearing bikini, I would wear one too- good for you
