What should I do (TMI)
So I posted that Monday I was 1-2cm, Tuesday I felt crampy but it went away. Now today, since 2am I have had 5 BM and I just don't feel like myself. I had a few contractions early this am but then that was it. Now I told DH what is going on and he said his stomach was uneasy but he didn't go to the bathroom so I am thinking his stomach is nerves and mine is preparing for labor (I went 4 times with DS, but was having contractions). Now the what to do part: DH works in Dayton, NJ which is about 1.5 hrs from where I am now with NO traffic, WITH traffic it is 2-2.5hrs. Should I just wait to call him until I feel something? If he leaves after 3pm it will most likely take him 2 hours to get home.

Re: What should I do (TMI)
OK, well first off - you do realize that I will KILL you if you go before me!!!!!!!
Now, seriously, I don't know what I would do - being that this is your second and they say second births can happen really fast (Mrsschwags for example)
Is there anyway that he can work from home until you have this baby? It's going to be very stressful if you have to worry about this every time you feel something.
You don't want him to come home in case it is nothing soooo - basically - I have no answers for you. I'm sorry!

That's why part of me doesn't want to call him. He said everytime he see's that I am calling he gets nervous. I wish he could work from home but he cant So I guess I will just wait and see.

I think that what I would prob. do is the second you start to feel the pains coming on - on a regular schedule I would call him. Kind of like you would the dr. I'm hoping you either go in the middle of the night - or before rush hour!!!

Re: What should I do (TMI)
I know 2nd births can go fast, but I would try to wait until your contractions are regular and coming consistently for an hour or two before making him come home.
I would say a good time would be consistently 10-12 minutes apart. My doc for this pg wants me to call him when they are 7-8 minutes apart instead of 4-5 with my 1st pg.
I've been emptying out too for the last week and been having on/off contractions for the last 2 days too.

Re: What should I do (TMI)
I think it would be okay for your DH to go to work. I was in the same boat as you (my 2nd baby and first labor was fast) and when the contractions started becoming regular, I called him and he made it home in about 2 hours. The baby didn't come until 5 hours after that.
If you start having bloody show or you can time the contractions, make him come home. The waiting is the worst part but I think its more common that you have time...even though we all hope and pray for speedy deliveries!! Good luck!
