Which doctor helped you.....
Hello ladies...I'm going to ask a very personal question so I am going to make this a poll for privacy.
I have 14 months trying to conceive and I am making the decision to go see a RE. I asked my doctor for a referral and she referred me to Dr. Sung at RSofNY. I did a search on her and them and didn't get see many positive feedback.
I was referred my some of the girls on the infertility board to some doctors that sound great but I wanted to hear from the girls that are pregnant or had their baby through the help of a RE.
So I'm going to add the names of the most popular doctors and if I did not mention your doctor please FM me.

I'm scared...so I need a doctor that understands my fears, that will talk to me every step of the way, that will explain things to me in a way I can understand.

Do you have to stay on LI? Its kinda hard to recommend because each clinic has its specialties. Do you have any idea what the issue is...male factor, high fsh, etc? That would help because then you can look at Sart.org to see what their statistics are. Of course that only matters if you're doing IVF...see back to my original question.
I know a lot of girls on here have used NSUH-Dr. Rosenfeld or Herschlag. I, personally, am probably going to James Grifo at NYU or Dr. Rosenwaks at Weil Cornell. Bujt I know what my issue is...Good luck. You're making the right move. You may want to check out ivfconnections.com

I would rather stay in LI since I work full time and I could do my appointments during lunch or early morning.
I did all of the bloodwork, HSG and midcycle sonogram. DH did the semen analysis. My periods are irregular...anywhere between 30-41 days long. My LH level was within normal but was higher than my FSH. And the sonogram showed some spots but not a lot (like 4-5). So my gyn wanted me to do OPKs because she thinks it might be just timing....BUT the OPKs give me 2 surges(I've only done it for 2 cycles so far).

i used dr rosenfield and i loved him. i seen a few drs there and they were all very nice. i was referred there by a friend and i have referred many people there and we have all had postiive experiences with their office.

My daughter was thanks to Dr. Chu also. I loved her. She was so understanding and helpful and kind. Good Luck with whomever you choose.

Ok I remember now--we have chatted before. I would look for clinics that deal in PCOS-most do.

I started off with Rosenfeld, who I love, he is kind, understanding very thorough and never minded me taking notes during consults or coming in with sheets of paper with questions, he is very calm. However he doesn't do IVF so when my time came to move onto IVF I was handed over to Dr. Scholl. I did my initial IVF consult with Chu and she is lovely. In fact all the Doctors there are nice, professional and know thier stuff, the nurses too are very understanding.
