How many of each?

Do you register for?
Like Bottles? Sheets? Smaller items?
Do they give you some sort of list like they did at Fortunoff..

Ok so I need 12 wine glass white and red.. 12 cordial... bla bla bla..

Is it the same concept?

Re: How many of each?

lol - not really. I registered for the Dr. Browns full pack of bottles (it came with 2oz, 4oz, and 8oz bottles)

As for sheets - you want to have a few on hand so that way if one is dirty - you can throw another one on and not have to run and do the wash (at least that's what I did) - I think I have 4 sheet sets (maybe 5) -

Don't forget - you can always return - so I kept most things in their packaging and will return them if I feel I have too much.

I know that I DEF. have too many towels, washcloths, and bibs - the baskets they are in are just overflowing. And that is after me returning sooooo many.

Re: How many of each?

I registered for the Dr. Browns gift set and returned it. Wound up just needing about 6-8 4oz and now use and have 8 8oz bottles. I never needed the 2oz bc I used the ready made 2oz similac bottles.

Sheets I have 3 sets, same with changing table cover and bassinett sheets..

Like Diana said you can always return things you don't need, I had tons of returns and bought formula and diapers.

Honestly though I though I had too many bibs and returned a lot of them and I use bibs like crazy, burp clothes too.

I think BRU has a list of need to have items Chat Icon

Hey! Chat Icon

Diff oz depending on how much they drink..I guess you could have all 8 oz and only fill them a little.

He ate 2 oz then right up to 4oz pretty much so I used the 4oz bottles, smaller and easier..

Now he's a little chubbs so I need the 8oz bottles. Its all very confusing until you use everything!! lol Is that what you were asking?? Chat Icon

I have the 2oz ready to feed bottles too so I guess I won't be using those. But I figured the 4s would be good - if he then goes up to 3oz.

See...I would have liked having 2oz bottles, Christopher ate 2oz at a time for a while. Now, at almost 8 weeks he ates 4oz and 6 oz at night. But I use the bigger bottles just filled to where I need them.

BRU does give you a list of what you need, but you need to think what your lifestyle is. Like, we don't have a washer dryer at the moment so I have a TON of everything so I will never run out of sheets, blankets, washcloths, bibs, etc. Although, I haven't even used a bib yet, but I digress.

And some stuff you won't even put on your registry and realize you can't live without--like my swingChat Icon

Re: How many of each?

they definitely give you something at BRU. Do you know someone who has had a baby recently. I found it helped to look at their registries when doing mine.

It's definitely harder than the wedding registry.

Re: How many of each?

babies R Us has a great registry list.

I had 3 crib sheets but I do wash alot so it's fine for me. I also have sheet savers which were great when DD was little - when you go to BRU just ask what they are and you'll see - I think they're useful. They tie over the sheet so if the baby spits up, you can just remove that, instead of the whole sheet.

I have I think 8 Dr. Brown's bottles (the 8 ounce size). I also have a bunch of Avent bottles but we switched after she was about 2 weeks old. I liked having alot of bottles when she was eating 6-7 times a day.

It's very confusing at first - and overwhelming but you will get the hang of it! Chat Icon
