I went to Smithtown-right next to Happauge, but 5 cousins graduated from there and they are doing pretty well for themselves... BUT I am sure there are people on here who can give you a much better idea...

My DH grew up in Smithtown but graduated Hauppauge HS. He did ok for himself  Not sure how it is though, but I know Smithtown is good.

Well, I am looking at houses in Smithtown that are in Hauppague SD..the taxes are much cheaper..so I just wanted to get an idea of the schools..I know Smithtown has great schools, but the taxes are much higher...

i went there. my sisters and bro go there now.
i originaly went to CI and what a world of difference!!! i went from being one of the "smart kids" to being completely confused.
i am so happy i ended up going there.
the olnly thing that sucks is the rarely give snow days

My kids attend school in Smithtown, but I looked at homes in the Pines which is Hauppague schools. I wouldn't hesitate sending my kids there. The taxes are cheaper in Hauppauge because there is a fairly large industrial base. Lucky Hauppauge.
