Registery question

Ok if you read my earlier posts about BBB, you know I really like that store.
My problem is that there are only 2 on LI. The majority of the people on my shower list are from out East(Smithtown/Holbrook area) or Shore Shore (Lindenhurst/Babylon area). My mom tells me people will not want to travel to Huntington or Westbury and will end up buying things from other places not on the registery. Which IMO, wont be of much help to me. I know they have online ordering but again, now they pay more because of shipping.
I know I can do two stores but when I didnt that for my wedding it was just a PITA.
What would you do.

Re: Registery question

I would try to do another store, just to make it more convenient for your guests. You can do it online, but you might just have to go to the store to get started.

Although the travel to those stores isn't so bad, do your guests never leave their house?

I did BRU for that reason. It was more convenient for everyone and I loved everything that they had anyway.

I made a small one from BBB but didn't tell anyone. It was mainly for stuff that I didn't find at BRU that I bought for myselfChat Icon

I did the same! Especially cause I live in CT and we don't have BBB up here, but all of my family is on LI.

Re: Registery question

What about Target? They carry most of the big ticket items (Car seat, Stroller, High chair, swing etc.)
Wall-Mart carys everything too but I don't like to shop there.

I'm registering at both BBB & BRU.

Be careful with Target registries. I registered there for my wedding and it was a huge hassle. They won't return ANYTHING without a receipt and when I got something purchased online, if I wanted to return it, I had to ship it back, couldn't bring it into a store.

This might have changed, but I would check it out. You don't want to have a big hassle returning when you are very pregnant or have a newborn.

Re: Registery question

I had the same problem but I refuse to register at BRU. I ordered a registry gift for a friend and the order was not there a month later and when it was sent it was completely messed up. It was only one thing but it customer service was awful. I will shop there when I need things but not online and I won't register there. Lucky for me, I have some people in the Huntington area, so it will not be terrible for everyone. Again, sorry to bring this up for people who already picked BRU, but I would want to know if someone had a bad experience. I plan to register at BBB and I may register with ViaCord.

This sounds like the better option for your guests. Some people might want to travel to BBB for you!
