She moved out because they wouldn't pay for her to eat at restaurants with I am assuming friends and they wouldn't buy her fashionable clothes? Yeah, those are good reasons. GET A JOB, thats how I bought the fashionable stuff when younger and went out with friends. SHE IS 18...Get a real job. Many people go to college and work full time..its called reality!!!!

I can't believe that the basis of her argument is that her mother made her come home early and didn't give her money to eat out and buy clothes!!!
I could understand if there was physical abuse, but it doesn't sound like she had credible argument with that one either.

I think the judge should hand the mother an award in front of the daughter in court. How dare she be a responsible caring adult and enforce rules on her children, especially in this day and age, where a lot of parents are kinda not involved one bit in their kids lives!!

AMEN so did I!
And I didn't think anything of it! I think I started buying my own clothes and all incidentals including things like the Prom once I got my first p/t job at 16.
My nephew goes to that school I wonder if he knows this flipping whiner ....

OMG! What a BRAT!!! Her mom should cut her out of her life! That's terrible. Now her mom had to pay a lawyer to defend her on this crap. I can't wait until she has kids!!!! You konw the old curse- may you have a child EXACTLY like you.
