Rug size question....HELP!!
Sorry to be annoying about these darn rugs! 
My DR is small -- maybe 10 x 11.....
So the 8 x 10 is much too big and it overpowered the room....So, I'm down to 5 x 8 or 8 x 8 (which is hard to get).
My question is, should the rug be big enough so that when you pull out the dining room chairs, they will still be on the rug? If so, then I think the 5 x 8 will be too narrow....the 5 foot width of the rug would fit under the DR set if the chairs are not pulled out, but when they are, the back legs would be on the hardwood floor. This is a "no-no", right?
...This is so frustrating...

Measure the table's length and width and add 54" to each measurement. This will give 27" on all sides to allow space for the chairs, even when pulled away from the table.

Do you measure it with the leaves in? I am guessing no, but just curious.
