Those pg with a baby girl
Have you noticed DH's "attitude" has changed about women, namely how he *looks* at them.
The other day, we were driving around doing errands and we passed a bunch of high school girls doing some sort of "free car Wash Fundraiser". These girls were about 17/18 years old and were wearing shorts and bikini tops. DH got SO upset!! He was like, "WHY are their parents letting them out like that, WHERE is the adult supervision (they were sitting in lawn chairs- to which I pointed out)...." I started laughing and said, "a year ago you would've made some nasty, 'Yeah- get some' comment...." He looked at me deadpan and said, "5 months ago I would've said it, it's different now."
Later, we saw some kids out to dinner. They were obviously going to the prom. One of the girls was wearing the most BEAUTIFUL dress. Granted, it was a pretty grown up dress for a teenager to wear, but it was beautiful and she had the body to carry it off. I commented to DH what a gorgeous dress and he was like, "She's too young to be wearing that...."
The man is completely freaked out about having a daughter. The withering stares he gives teenaged girls in their "outfits" is cracking me up.

Re: Those pg with a baby girl
Funny.
We were at the mall in the beginning of my pregnancy and were at Starbucks. There were dozens of pre-adolescent girls in line at the Starbucks ordering crazy caffeinated beverages, and DH was in AWE...he was like, "what is wrong with these girls? WHERE are their parents?"...he kept talking about it for weeks....before my pregnancy I don't think he would have given it a second thought.

I HAVE noticed this with DH...he'll make more comments now about "our daughter isn't going to wear that" or "those parents have no discipline over their kids"

I have a 10 year old step-daughter....she's not allowed to wear these things as per DH. I finally talked him into letting her get a tankini for the summer because she didn't want a 1-piece again!

I have noticed this but DH always sort of did that. He's a teacher and he is just shocked at how the girls dress at school. He doesn't understand how their parents let them out of the house.

I don't have children, but I can completely relate with the issue of what young girls are wearing today. I've taught in a middle school, and I'm just AMAZED by it. Can you believe that 11 and 12 year old girls are wearing THONGS??? If I EVER found a thong in my teenager's draw, I'd cut it in half!!

My DH was looking at a teen heartthrob type magazine at the store one day - he kept commenting on the way the girls dressed and "what kind of role models are they!?"...so yes, I see it too.

Re: Those pg with a baby girl
At about 9PM one night we were coming home from a friend's house and we saw 2 teenage girls getting into a car around the corner from us. My DH said something like "It's too late for them to be out!"

Re: Those pg with a baby girl
DH has always been this way...but even more so now and he's a cop..so just imagine!! Poor Milani!!! He's talking about stocking up on arsenal!!
I guess it doesn't help that I showed him pics of my friends daughter who just turned 13 and had a party in her house and put pics up on myspace of her in "booty shorts" grinding with guys. That was WAY over the top for me..and I was surprised it was even allowed with her parents there. DH's face was PRICELESS!
