When it comes to birthdays, what do you get for the woman who has everything?

If you're Brad Pitt, you aim for the heart. The actor, 43, went all-out to celebrate Angelina Jolie's 32nd birthday on June 4, filling their home in
L.A.¹s Los Feliz neighborhood with flowers, surprising her with a gold ring adorned with the birthstones of their four children and treating her to a very special meal.

"He cooked an AMAZING dinner," a Jolie friend tells Us. "She was so excited, she talked about [Brad's gifts] all day!"

And the giving didn't stop there.

Although they hit the red carpet together at the L.A. premiere of Ocean's Thirteen the next day, Pitt passed on the flick's June 7 premiere in Chicago and instead joined Jolie for dinner with the father of Daniel Pearl (the slain reporter on whom her drama A Mighty Heart is based).

Is Pitt working overtime to pamper Jolie in the wake of her mother's recent death?

One thing's for sure; Coping hasn't been easy, says Australian singer Rebecca St. James, a pal of Jolie's brother, James Haven.

"James and Angelina are incredibly supportive," she tells Us. "They are leaning on each other."
