See, I buy it and I get it and it's great, but there are 2 seconds missing...2 crucial seconds that would have set it up a bit clearer to debunk all this confusion and anger. Maybe another shot on the hitman or something. There was too long of a pan on Meadow and her awful parking and not enough time on Tony...and for the record, I think he would have heard the gunshot simultaneously (sp) as the black.

I think this theory makes sense and all, and it all sounds great. But honestly, I really dont wish to think THAT hard when I watch a show. With all of the symbolism's you mentioned, I would have had to quit my day job, give my child up for adoption and watch and take in depth notes on every DVD box set covering the past 8 years to truly get what you did out of that episode!

Kudos to you for remembering all that!

And also had they not gone on 2 year hiatus' all the time, maybe I could have kept track of what the hell was going on.

All in all, as brilliant as some make David Chase out to be, count me as one of the mindless audience members who was just looking for some good ol fashioned gangsta entertainment. If I wanted to think that hard, I would have just DVR'd it and then read a book on Nuclear Physiology...

But your ending does make sense..
