We got Our Mortgage
Well we got the Mortgage.....now if those darn CO's would come in, we would be in business to go to closing! I need some prayers ladies!

Congratulations on the mortgage!!! Were you happy with your rate?
Hopefully the COs will be resolved soon. I saw your reply to my post, so you know we are having the same problem. We found out North Hempstead can take up to 8 weeks to issue, but hopefully your town will move faster.
Big lesson to me--we'll check with the town if we do any little renovations. I would hate to have this happen to me as a seller if we sell our house one day.

Thank you! We weren't thrilled with our rate, so we paid some points to buy it done.  What about you?
I'm waiting to hear back from my REA to see if the inspector came to the house yesterday or not. The waiting is killing me.  Yeah we really have no idea how the Town of Babylon works, so I guess we will see.
I agree with your "Big Lesson"....I know we will do the same thing. If you don't get the CO's when you do the work fine, but at least get them before you decide to put your house up for sale.  It's amazing how many people wait until after they put their house up for sale. Hopefully everything will work out for both of us. GL!

Saying a prayer, and hoping the town of Babylon is faster with the paperwork than North Hempstead.
We were happy with our rate, but our lock expired, so we had to pay to extend the lock (the extension expires on Friday, so I'm hoping all can get resolved fast). While it was more money, it was cheaper than paying the points. The sellers agreed to split this with us actually, so that helps.

lot's of to you to make sure your paperwork goes through quickly so you don't have to worry about the Mortgage. Glad to here the sellers stepped up with splitting the cost, that is great. GL!
