Is this bad etiquette???
I went on an interview today. I would like to send a thank you email to the parnter, associate and HR person I met with. Do you think it's tacky to send an email as opposed to a "real" thank you card?

Re: Is this bad etiquette???
I think a hand written note is better, but I do not think an email is bad etiquette at all.

If the interview was arranged via e-mail, then I think an e-mailed thank-you is OK. If you set up the interview via TF, then I would send a "real" thank-you.

Re: Is this bad etiquette???
I was always told an email is fine, but write it as a letter in a word document and attach the word document to the email you send.

It was actually arranged through a friend that works there. Pretty casual type setting up of the interview.

Re: Is this bad etiquette???
Here's my deal: I've sent written ones, but usually got called for a follow-up before the mail could have possibly reached the person. So I would say email.

Re: Is this bad etiquette???
It's good to send an e-mail these days, since it shows that you are prompt and timely. Especially since mail can take a while to get through the postal system and then through the company mail distribution centers.
If you'd like to really stand out you could always send a follow up thank you through the mail as well. Personally I appreciate receiving a hard copy since its so rare these days.
