I sort of do that though never thought of it that way (if that makes any sense!!).

I just take pictures of what I like for said room and put them all together usually on my kitchen table, b/c we don't use it very often, and from there I try to put together the room.

I also find building off of one piece, llike say a curtain or comforter is the easiest way to start.
