TV stand 56" wide -- impossible to find??
Is it impossible to find a TV console that is 56" wide??? We went furniture shopping this weekend and I was so disappointed.... right now DH has an icky IKEA one that's approx 40" wide and it needs to go... it looks so silly with just the base of the TV on the shelf and then almost 20" hanging off both sides... We can't afford a big huge entertainment unit right now, but I want a nice attractive looking wood TV stand that can accommodate the monster TV.... any suggestions besides the usual places?

I've seen tons of them all over the internet if you just type in either "entertainment center" or "tv stand". We just bought a hutch/tv console at Raymour and Flanigan this week that is 58" wide. I would try looking there too.

Crate & Barrel has one for $999 called the Cadence. It's 62" - is that too big?

thanks for the suggestions.... i'll try Furnakit.... our budget isn't that big (since we are putting in a new kitchen - yay!) so I was really looking for something that was like $200-400 for now so it isn't ugly anymore and then when we have money again go for the nice console with audio piers, etc.. for 1500, etc..

We got ours at Best Buy
Our TV is 50" and we found a perfect sized stand.

We have a 60" tv on a stand from Ikea, it's nothing special but nothing hangs over and it serves it purpose
