Diseased trees?
Our neighbor came over today and told us that we need to call someone to spray our trees. There is a mint green mold growing on the trees and he said if we don't take care of it, the tree will die...and possibly fall on our house...
Anyone have this problem before?

Re: Diseased trees?
the mold is from the shade...i don't see why that would kill the tree unless its SEVERE and saggy in the trunk area...

Re: Diseased trees?
When we moved inside our house, we had a bunch of trees with mold growing around the trunks. We had a tree guy come in and he stated the tree was long since dead and he took it down and got rid of the trunk as well, so it wouldn't kill the grass.

Re: Diseased trees?
This happens to trees all the time. I doubt your tree is going to just one day fall over onto your house. But if it makes you feel more comfortable I would have someone come in and check it out. You may be able to spray something on it to see if it kills the mold first.
