Almost hit a bus

So there I was driving down Route 25 in Laurel (north fork of LI to those who don't know) minding my own business doing the speed limit which is 50 when a Hampton Jitney bus just flicks on his blinker and pulls the front of the bus out into traffic. Now the car in front of me swerves to go around the bus so he didn't hit the front end. I had to slam on the breaks, TG for ABS!!! There was on coming traffic, 50mph, NO CARS behind me and this bus almost caused an accident. How are buses legally allowed to do this?? I had my 3 month old infant in the car and that A$$ almost caused an accident. I was FUMING. I know they have a schedule to keep but I think safety should be paramount!! I have schedules too and I don't just pull into traffic and expect the right of way. Just cause they are a big bus does that give them special rights while driving?? Usually it's the Suffolk Transit buses just pulling into traffic but this time it was the Jitney I am just so thankful that jerk didn't cause me to hit him!! (although at his next stop I wanted to get out of my car and hit him).

I am glad you are ok and your baby,I think all buses think they have the right away and they dont pay attention half the time to the roads.

This is exactly why I HATE buses.
They are so damn dangerous!!!
