Ever see a pg woman and...

smile for a second because its really beautiful and then feel like crying because you don't know if it will ever be you?
I almost broke down right there on the subway platform and cried...

Ladies when will this be over for us? Is so unfair. Chat Icon

UGH yes! This happened to me recently. Luckily it was while watching TV. So I got to cry alone.
I wonder all the time when will it be over!
Hopefully soon for all of us!

This happens to me all the time.
Everyday it seems there is something to remind me that everyone is having babies except me.

This happens to me too. Sometimes I see pregnant women and get sad that it isn't me, but sometimes I see them and think, that will be me soon. I just try my best to stay positive. Otherwise I would be crying every day because I see at least 1 if not more pg women every day.

Re: Ever see a pg woman and...

this happens to me, too... not so much when i see a pregnant women, but when i hear about really young teenagers having babies, or people abusing their kids, abandoning their babies, etc..... its just not fair that people like this can have babies, while DH and i, who have good jobs, a nice house, and a loving relationship, can't??

ETA: i've known since i was little that i can't have kids (i have a genetic disorder), so ive never really had the desire to be pregnant... just to be a mom somehow.

Re: Ever see a pg woman and...

It used to happen to me ALL of the time! Even with BF had baby I had to drag my butt there and I cried all the way home!

Now that I am pregnant, I still cry at the fact that I finally got to this point after 8 years!

But what makes me happy is being able to encourage those who continue to struggle with IF!

Re: Ever see a pg woman and...

You know, I have to say this experience had made me appreciate pregnancy, and WOMEN so much. I never really used to think much of getting pregnant, or having trouble getting pregnant, until I dealt with it myself. I am pregnant now, and just so thankful for this. BUt I have a new respect for women, and how some just have to fight so hard to have their dreams to come true. It is a new perspective that I am thankful for in a way. I certaily had my days of sadness too, But I just want to send out so many hugs to you ladies, you are what strength is all about. I keep a pulse on these boards because you all helped me so much, and i just want to see positives for all of you.

Keep the faith and always allow yourself o feel. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Yes I have many times -- and finally it is me. It will be you too hopefully soon.

You would be surprised to find out how many of those pg women had to go through IF treatments to get where they are -- it is amazing.....

Hopefully we can experience motherhood soon ladies. Whether its through having our own or adopting. I too have a new found respect for what women go through to get pregnant. Never did I think in a million years that I would be so motivated. Thanks ladies and I wish nothing but

Oh my Goodness, all the time. Just this morning I go in for monitoring at my Fertility Center and a lady walks in with her 3 year old. The little girl was so adorable and I watched as all the women in there had this sadness in thier eyes. The Clinic has strict regulations about bringing children into the center out of respect for other patients. I guess she didn't get the memo. It sucks I know.Chat Icon

That happened at my RE's office too. The woman came in with her son and he made a racket. Everyone couldn't take their eyes off of him...me included. We all had that longing in our eyes but to tell you the truth it wasn't the smartest of moves on the owman's part. Alot of women and their husbands got very upset. They didn't say anything but their eyes said it all. This is such a heart wrenching ordeal that no one truly understands until they have to go through. I know we are all good people and it will happen for us one day.

I think that all the time - sometimes when I see a newborn I have to stop myself from crying.

Congratulations!

Yes, all the time. My DH always tells me that what happens to other people doesn't affect us. He couldn't be more wrong. I go through the 'why not me' at least once a day.

There is a sign at my RE's office to try and make arrangements to have a baby sitter due to the sensitive issue's at hand. I've still seen a couple of women bring babies there. It upsets me that they have one and are trying for another when I can't even have just one. But to each their own.
