Cop stops for turtle crossing the street in our neighborhood

DH was driving down one of the main streets in our neighborhood and their was a cop car not too far from him. All of a sudden the cop puts his lights on and then comes to a complete stop. The cop gets out of the car, walks in front of his car, bends down and picked up a turtle that was crossing the street. He picked up the turtle and walked it over to the woods. Then got back in his car, shut the lights off and drove off.

I thought that was so adorable when he told me what happened.

DH did this once too
We were speeding down the street late for church (again) and he slams on the brakes in the middle of the street. He got out, moved the turtle and then continued to speed all the way to church

Too cute...we were driving out to the vineyards one day with a whole bunch of people and we saw a huge snapping turtle in the street. I made DH turn around and went and picked up the turtle and carried him to the water a block away. The turtle wanted to KILL me!!! But some guy was poking it with a hoe after we had turned around so I didn't want to take a chance.

that is so sweet- I almost wrecked a brand new SUV over a turtle in Oceanside- then the guy behind me hit him- I was in tears

this turtle was very big, and it was very sad to see that happen

Then I am not alone.....Just the other day I had to get off the phone with my mom so I could guide a family of geese off the service road of the LIE.

Then today, there is a lake I pass daily that has geese who do't leave. I had to pull over to feed them so the baby geese would move from a dangerous spot near traffic. (Usually I save our old bread for them, but now I have an entire crate of Matza in my car (Stop n Shop was giving away), so I can feed them all the time now
