Restaurant Suggestions Please !!!
in StonyBrook, Lake Grove, East Northport, Saint James areas. Should have separate room for parties.
Looking mostly for an Italian restaurant but doesn't necessarily have to be....and a restaurant that serve delicious generous portions.....
I already have Orlando's in Commack in mind and Piccolo in Huntington....
Also, there was a restaurant named Lamonico's(not sure of speling right now) that was very good and it was closed. Does anyone know if it was reopened or if it was opened at another location?

La Famiglia (Smithtown)
Butera's (Smithtown) where the Smithtown House used to be-- they should be opening up any day now. They have two other locations on the Island-- they are GREAT!

How about Pasta Pasta in Port Jeff? everyone here raved about it and when we went last summer, we weren't disappointed.

It is on Main Street
Right across from the Daffy's Shopping center and on the same side of the street as The Horse and Jockey as well as Napper Tandy's.
If you hit the old, old movie theatre that is now a playhouse- you have gone too far. (if you are coming from The Millennium Diner / Smithtown Library direction-- like passing St. Pat's HEADING West). If you are heading East then it is obviously after the old, old movie theatre!
Butera's is YUMMY

I have heard great things about Mario's in Hauppauge. I have never been there yet so I'm sure if they have a seperate room.

ciao baby is expensive i looked at them for my baby shower they wanted $6o a head for 3 hours no cake and wouldnt close the restaurant for us and we told them between 50-60 women.
La Villini (it's on the other thread too)

I was there years ago....food was good and they do have a separate room downstairs.
There's also Pomodoro in Hauppauge that has a party room.

We had a company party there a few times in the past. They do have a separate room, but their food is not the best.

I love La Famiglia! it is family sytle portions. There is no "private room" but if you have enough people you can have 1/2 of the restuarant. I had my rehearsal dinner there

Papa Joe's in Commack is very tasty. I had my RD there and also DH's surprise party.
Staff is great, and they have two rooms to chose from.
