I definitely think Jack's father is still alive - I think he made it aboard the submarie with the component.
Very sad ending... Was I supposed to get the impression that Jack was considering suicide?! (It was an odd scene at the end, with the view down...)

cliff hanger = jack has no reason to live. not a real cliff hanger but its more on the emotional side that we are trying to learn about him
as for the show, it was good. too prediceitable but i was a few times tonight. DW totally said Chole is preggo...
next season will stink with out karen or bill (mainly bill) Jacks dad should be dead unless he got to the boat and launched it but he had no way in getting in touch with the sub.
i guess we wait 7 months till the last season... so much for thinking doyle would take over for jack..he can't see nothin..

such a sad ending Jack did everything and some all day, and in the end, he comes up empty handed Jack's eyes looked like a rabbit with no way out, just so.... lost
Agree with comments, i think Jacks dad is dead, China will be the foe next season, love it that Chole will be a Mom.... can you imagine a mini Chole ... and of course... Jack will save the day.. again. Hope the story line will be fresh though... the lines/plot are getting kinda worn.

I just hope that the next season has Chloe MASSIVELY pregnant - the one liners she'll have should be hilarious 
Too bad about Doyle - I think I read that Shroeder was signed for the next season, so I guess he'll lose vision in one eye.
The 'suicide contemplation' ending was interesting - I liked it.
But the whole 'let's send Ricky Shroeder out with a kid and have them sit at a picnic table" and just HOPE that a sociopath doesnt try and trick them just didnt work.
And why exactly is Chang alive? Why did he need to be taken out of there alive?

I thought it was weird that they didn't really have a cliffhanger...other than Jack contemplating suicide...
I too am not 100% convinced that Jack's father is dead and the circuit board was destroyed...

the writers prob did not cliffhang -leaving D7 wide open to possibilites
jack sure got off his chest what he had to say to audrey's dad  Anyone else feel like the silent clock signified the death of the Jack Bauer we know?
This was implied through talk of the crossroads, the letting go of Audrey, and the confrontation with heller.
...and i am sure those were REAL F14's

the ending was very sad - I really thought Jack was going jump off the cliff. his one purpose for living (Audrey) is in terrible shape and he knows he can't take care of her.  and the fact that he kept shouting "I just want my life back" was even more sad 
as for Chang, Jack should have put a bulett into his ugly head as revenge for his 18 months of torture and Audrey
and what about President Palmer? They never said how he was doing... 
ETA: the best part of the show IMO was when Josh shot Phillip 
and eta 2: I think Doyle will be back in season 7. he was really good! he will probably lose vision in 1 eye, but they def need to bring him back. when he was being taken away on a stretcher and he kept apologizing to Jack and saying "go get the kid", I thought to myself, BRING HIM BACK next season!

I say it's Morris' baby    she would have told him if it were Milo's. Chloe and Morris were seeing each other until he broke up w/her a few episodes ago. I really like how they developed the charachters on this season. and I LOVE Morris! I was so hoping they wouldn't kill him off

THere's always the possibility it will be a completely fresh storyline next season... they could surprise us and Jack's dad could be dead... but... probably not!

I think Pres Palmer will be back next season - fully recovered. not sure about VP Daniels though - he may resign I think. he is a good actor though.
I like Doyle's character, he challenges Jack. and they need a replacement now that Curtis is gone

i think its the emotions that are watering down the show. Agreed,we cant have extreme action EVERYweek, and SOME emotion is ok.... but if we look back at S2,S3 S4, S5 the plot twists were more complex and fast paced. that is what i miss
S6 had its moments, but there were far & few between, i think this is why we got bored sometimes.
and i am still hoping that Russian agent comes back -the one jack ' gave' the u.s wet list too - i thought he was great !
