For those with 80/20 type mortgages

did you go through a broker or can you get them through the bank? DH and I are thinking of putting 15% down and taking out 2 mortgages for 80 and 5.

TIA!

We went through a broker but I would think that you can get them from a bank too. I have an 80/10.

You can get them through a bank. We also used Chase. We actually did an 80% and a home equity loan for the balance of 5%.

We have a broker but you can go to a bank directly for the same mortgage as well.

We put down 20% through a bank, but I know that they definitely did 80/10/10s too...so you could deal with the bank as well.

We used a broker, but you can do them through a bank. We had an 80-15-5 though.

Thanks for all your responses. I always thought you needed a broker for these types of loans.
