Just had a VERY rude salesman call me!

I refinanced my house in february and ever since then i have mortgage brokers calling me nonstop! I usually tell them thanks but no thanks. But i just had one call me and say "why wouldnt you want me to get you a better rate? you like paying alot of money???"...i said "no, but i sourced out everyone and at this time i know i wont get a better rate than what i have"...and his answer was "well whats your credit score? give me your SS# and i'll be able to help you out" (very pushy sounding)...i said "look my credit score is none of your business and i'm not stupid enough to give out my SS# over the phone"...his response "(giggle)wow, you must like paying more $ then if you dont even want me to TRY to help you"...W T F???? can they really talk to you like this????

i was completely stunned by the way he was talking to me and just said "thank you for calling but dont ever call me again!!!" and hung up...i'm in sales, this is NOT how you get someone to work with you! Chat Icon

i'm on the Do Not Call list...can i report this company????

he asked you for your ss#? that almost sounds like a scam call to me...not legit.

HOW RUDE!!!!

This is happening to us to over a refi. I have been telling the callers that DH is a mortgage broker (he's not) and that we don't need their services. We keep getting all sorts of mailings too about a 1% ARM rate which is a load of garbage. It's really a 1% payment plan and then it balloons.

The social security number thing is definately a red flag....or is a very new sales person and doesn't realize he's pushing way too hard.
