I need a new phone but I have a Q..but I dont want it..what to do?

My dh bought me a Q (phone) for Christmas.

At the time, there was nothing wrong with my old phone and at the risk of sounding ungrateful, I didnt really want the Q because I had heard bad things about it. But I felt bad telling him, and I just let it sit in the box.

Well now, my cell isnt working .I can only text on it. I dont want the Q..I want a basic phone that makes phone calls without static LOL

But what can I do now?? Can I trade in the Q? I know I should call verizon but I dont feel like waiting on hold for them to tell me something someone here can. TIA!

I'm not sure if you can exchange on be phone for another...but my DH has the Q and he loves it. DH never purchases anything without consulting consumer reports and he didn't find any bad reviews on it. But I understand just wanting a basic phone...I felt the same way, which is why I didn't get the Q also
