how long does it take to become an RN? what exactly do they do? whats the average salary?

my best friend is an RN. she went to four years of undergrad (her last year was spent mainly in the hospital)

when she graduated, she took the test and became an RN.

She works for LIJ, i believe she made about $50K starting out, and got a sign on bonus. she used to get paid for unused sick days (and you only work 3 12 hour shifts per week, with one week out of the month working 4 days), so she used hardly any. she made about $3k extra because of this, but i htink they dont do it anymore.

You can also become an RN with a 2 year Associates degreee, as well as pass the NCLEX exam
