WOOHOOOOOOO!!!
After having open heart surgery, spending 3 weeks in the hospital, and about 2 weeks at the rehab center, which is really like a glorified nursing home, dealing with unstable blood sugars, bed sores, fluid overload and horrendous blisters...
My father has finally been given the OK to come home!!! 
I'm calling the social worker today to coordinate his discharge on Monday or Tuesday. Somehow, I have to figure out how to get him a walker, a shower chair, ortho sandals, arrange for outpatient rehab, dialysis, an aid, transportation to dialysis and rehab, and a home nurse, all within the next day or so... but... all the same... HE'S COMING HOME

Yay! Good newss!
The social worker or rehab place should be able to refer you to a medical supply store nearby where you can buy the shower seat & stuff all in one place.
Or you can look one up in thr phone book--they are usually near hospitals.

I'm so glad you Dad is finally comming home! The hospital gave me a list of home healthcare workers I could call and the stuff I needed for the bathroom was delivered right to my house and the walker was given to me at the hospital. I hope your Dad continues to do well
